The school's Under-14 side were the first to get off the mark, running out 2-0 winners against Weydon School from Farnham, Surrey at the home of Championship side Reading.

A goal in each half from Zac Windsor and Harry Perkins – the latter a fine curled effort from distance – did the damage.

Goalkeeper John Acton was inspired between the posts for Telford, earning himself a Man of the Match prize of a Playstation 4.

The school secured their second piece of silverware in a number of hours as the Under-13s fired themselves to a comfortable 4-1 victory over Glyn School from Epsom.

Harry Carson struck early for Thomas Telford, before a classy individual goal from Nathan Goodfellow doubled their advantage.

Despite their opposition halving the deficit, further goals from Josh Garrington and Joel Hodnett sealed a memorable 90 minutes for the youngsters.

All smiles – Thomas Telford's Under-14s have plenty to shout about after their cup victory at Reading.

The finals were part of a three day-event for boys and girls teams from under-12s to under-15s at the home of the FA Cup semi-finalists.

It's the culmination of another grassroots campaign partnership between Playstation and ESFA.

Company representatives were on hand to the present the trophy, which was held aloft and celebrated in front of friends, family and teachers.

The experience of a professional ground, as well as pre-match team talks in the first-team dressing rooms were a fine reward for the students involved.

The partnership has been running since September 2013, helping increase the access to competitive football for secondary school students as well as providing a boost for grassroots football.

There have been 19 Playstation Schools' Cups in 2014-15, with 100,000 participants across almost 2,000 schools.
