The Shropshire thrower was part of a 48-man field that travelled to the Evenementenhal in Venray for the European tour event,

Pallett secured his place by winning two games in a qualifier at the Robin Park Centre in Wigan last month, but he won't be a part of March's German Masters after not making the cut.

And the 26-year-old couldn't make much headway in Holland after being paired with Ryan Harrington, son of Sky Sports pundit and former World Championship finalist Rod.

They slugged it out at the oche in the first round, but the second-generation darter landed his doubles when it mattered to prevail 6-4. His average, 83.11, was slightly inferior to Pallett's 83.82.

Harrington moved on from that Friday night clash to bow out 6-3 in the second round to James Wade on Saturday afternoon. Pallett earned £1,000 just for making the trip.
