The 15-year-old convincingly won her semi-final on points today to guarantee at least silver from her competition debut for England, writes Craig Birch.

The two-time national champion will now look to take the top prize from the tournament, which is taking place in the Turkish port city of Ordu.

Her run began with her first fight on Tuesday, where she took just over a minute to remove Hungary's Vivien Valko.

Valko took two standing counts before the referee waved her off on her feet after the second occasion, with Kaur powerful behind the left jab and right hook.

The Shropshire fighter, a pupil at Hadley Learning Community, was made to work harder for this afternoon's victory.

This time she stepped through the ropes with Italy's Giulia Alota, who extended her the distance working off fast hands but couldn't overcome movement and range

The tall Kaur played to her strengths to boss the three rounds and claim a unanimous points win, after Alota had kept on coming.

The champions produced from an eight-pronged junior weight of 46kg will be decided in the final between Kaur and Turkey's own Hatice Akbas.

Her selection has come up trumps for England Boxing, who picked her at the weight after behind-closed-doors assessments at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield.

Her class-mates at Hadley Learning Community also honoured her with their Exceptional Student award for this year.
