Four Telford Tigers stars called up for Great Britain
Telford Tigers will have four players in the Great Britain squad for next month's autumn internationals against Norway.
Defenceman Sam Zajac will make his international debut, alongside Jonathan Weaver, Sam Oakford and Matty Davies.
Tigers coach Tom Watkins, meanwhile, is the GB assistant coach.
The sides meet at the National Ice Centre in Nottingham on November 1, before going head to head the next night at Ice Arena Wales in Cardiff.
Zajac, who played for the Great Britain B squad two years ago, said: "I'm really happy to be selected for the first time, and it is a massive honour to play for my country. I am really looking forward to it.
"It was Jonathan Weaver who told me and I thought it was a wind-up at first. He told me to check my emails and it was a really nice surprise.
"I want to learn from the experience, enjoy it and hopefully put in a good performance. My parents are going to watch the game, so it will be a great moment for us.
"It has worked in my favour that they've decided to go for two development squads, as it means more players, especially those on the fringes, can be involved."
GB have named 43 players in their squad and it will be split into two rosters for the games against the 11th-ranked team in the world.
Zajac, Davies and Weaver will be part of the squad that plays in Cardiff on November 2, while Oakford has been selected to play the night before in Nottingham.
Great Britain head coach, Pete Russell, said: "The first two games of the season for Team GB won't come much bigger or tougher than this.
"It's a huge challenge but what fantastic experience it will be to play two games against Norway.
"In the last 10 to 12 years they have come such a long way and are a country that, in many ways, we can learn a lot from in our quest to push to higher levels.
"We will be able to see everyone in a very competitive environment, which is great."
