Telford Tigers forward Joe Miller aiming for Lightning comeback
Forward Joe Miller is hoping to make his Telford Tigers comeback in this weekend's games against English Premier League title rivals Milton Keynes Lightning.
The Welshman has been sidelined with concussion for the last three weeks, having also picked up a hamstring injury in pre-season training.
Miller trained for the first time this week and wants to put those early fitness worries behind him at Lightning on Saturday and in the reverse fixture the next day.
The 31-year-old said: "It's been brilliant to get back on the ice after a tough few weeks. I thought I was getting better but started having dizzy spells again.
"It has been frustrating, especially after getting injured in pre-season training. It's been a bit stop start, but hopefully the rest of the week will be good. I developed a hernia in pre-season last year, a hamstring tear this year and now a concussion.
"Hopefully this will be the end of it and I can get back for the games against Milton Keynes and stay healthy for the year."
Miller amassed a impressive 61 points for the Tigers last season, despite having that hernia injury, and is regarded as a key offensive threat for the league leaders.
He added: "I just want to stay healthy now.
We've had a great start to the season and with everyone fit, we can hopefully start pushing for trophies."
Telford's lead at the top will be put to the test with Milton Keynes just three points adrift in second.
