Duo hoping to dance into Britain's Got Talent final
A dynamic dancing duo will tonight try to win the hearts of the nation in the semi-finals of hit TV show Britain's Got Talent.
Millions of viewers are expected to watch ballroom and Latin dancers AJ Pritchard, 18, of Burleydam, and Chloe Hewitt, 17, of No Man's Heath, both near Whitchurch, try to win a place in the live final.
They will take on eight other acts to try to win their place, which could see them end up with the life-changing prize of £250,000 and a slot on this year's Royal Variety Performance.
AJ and Chloe have appealed to Shropshire residents to support them in the reality show.
Chloe said: "I think our performance will be very strong and we want the audience to enjoy it.
"Therefore we would ask people to vote, vote, vote."
AJ added: "It's so exciting, we just can't wait. The talent has been very strong, but there are a lot of singers in the competition and obviously they need a dance act in the final. Hopefully that will be us."
The dancing duo, who are coached by AJ's father Adrian, at Pritchard Dance and Fitness Academy in Burleydam, were declared "best act of the day" by Simon Cowell when they first auditioned at the Lowry Theatre in Manchester back in February.
Viewers can watch AJ and Chloe perform live in the semi-finals tonight from 7.30pm on ITV1. The final will be held next week on June 8.
