Wellington Drama Festival to open with a 'favourite' production
Wellington Drama Festival kicks off this week with the production of Noel Coward's comedy, Blithe Spirit!
Director Brian Hughes said: "Written by Noel Coward in an inspired frenzy of imagination during a week's holiday in Portmeirion at the height of the Blitz in 1941, Blithe Spirit was an instant success and has remained a favourite ever since."
Blithe Spirit Kicks off the week of the Wellington Drama Festival held annually at The Belfrey Theatre. The Festival week runs from November 9-16 and features an array of talent from local theatre companies including The Wellington Theatre Company, Belfrey Players, Stretton Players, Horsehay ADS, Llanymynech ADS, and Belfrey Youth Theatre.
We have several original plays being performed this year including a new musical called 'Broccoli' by John Britton and a play 'The House', written by one of our youth members, Oak Delves.
The performances will all be adjudicated by the great Robert Meadows.
It is set to be an unforgettable week - so please come and support local theatre!
