Gary Stanley (30) and Natalie Price (27), a pilot and a nurse respectively, moved onto the development having used the housebuilder’s Part Exchange scheme to find their forever home.

They moved from their previous home in Fleetwood to be closer to Gary’s work at RAF Shawbury, along with their three rabbits and puppy, Toby. Being able to combine Part Exchange with the government’s Forces Help to Buy scheme, the couple were able to make a comfortable and affordable move.

Gary said: “We chose the area due to its location between Shawbury and Stoke for our careers. The Damsons stood out as we liked the design, price and the build quality was clear to see when we visited the show homes.

“The homes are also future-proofed with green features like electric car charging points, solar panels, efficient boilers and added insulation.”

Gary and Natalie used David Wilson Homes’ Part Exchange scheme to sell their existing home and avoid the property chain, whilst also making the most of the government's Forces Help to Buy scheme to boost their deposit.

Natalie said: “With the Part Exchange scheme, moving in was fast and simple using David Wilson Homes’ approved solicitors. We had the keys before lunchtime on our move-in day, which helped massively as we were moving our whole lives across the country.

“Part Exchange removed our need for an independent buyer and the uncertainty from the moving process, whereas the Forces Help to Buy scheme helped significantly towards our deposit.

“Market Drayton has all the local amenities we need. There are twice-weekly markets and many community events. We’re among the first few residents in the community to move in and our immediate neighbours are lovely.”

Gary and Natalie bought the Kennett style home; a three bedroom, three storey house which features an open-plan kitchen with a dining area and a bay-fronted lounge.

Gary said: “We really liked the layout of the Kennett built across three floors, in particular the main bedroom with dual VELUX windows. It has ample space for all of our pets and the garden is secure. Having a garage is also handy, as it is perfect for storing my motorcycle.

“I’d recommend David Wilson Homes to all my friends and family. Anne, the Sales Adviser has been great, helping us through the schemes and process.

“The site manager Ash has also been fantastic, he's made himself available, communicated with us throughout and all snags we've come across were rectified quickly. We can't praise him and Anne enough.”

The Damsons currently has several two, three and four bedroom homes currently available with prices starting from £210,000.
