Irene celebrates her 105th birthday with afternoon tea
Celebrations have been in full swing at Mount House Care Home in Shrewsbury, as one of its residents reaches their 105th birthday in style.

Irene was joined by staff, relatives, friends and other residents as she received a card from the King in recognition of her landmark birthday. Afternoon tea was held at the home and guests enjoyed a special birthday cake made by the home’s chef Liz.
Irene celebrated her 100th birthday at the Grosvenor Hotel in Chester with her family and friends and on that birthday, she received a card from the Queen, this special birthday she received a card from the King and she said she is hoping to receive one in the future from Prince William when he becomes King.
