Ludlow pub raise a 'whopping' amount of cash for local food bank

In March this year, James, the manager at The Squirrel, a Marston’s pub in Ludlow, contacted Ludlow Food Bank to say that they would like to raise some money for us. They regularly raise money for charities at their Wednesday quiz nights.

James set a target to try to raise £2,000 for the food bank, and in September he contacted us to say that he had achieved his goal. In fact, they had raised a whopping £2,210!  This will go a long way to providing food for people in and around Ludlow who are struggling for one reason or another.

Between March and September this year, during this fundraising, the food bank helped to feed 789 people, including 291 children.

We are so grateful to all the staff at The Squirrel, and all the quizzers who have donated such a wonderful sum.
