Santa greeted dozens of visitors – including those with four paws – during a three-hour stint at the bottom of the hill.
It wasn’t only the children who were excited about their first glimpse this year of the fictional character who delivers gifts to children on Christmas Eve… mums, dads, grandparents and their furry companions were in the queue to see Santa who was equally pleased to greet them.
“Santa proved as popular as ever at this historic event,” said Rotarian David Morris, one of the elves and chairman of Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club who once again provided the Santa.
