Agency launches new ‘Community Climate Connectors’ project
Marches Energy Agency is an energy advice charity which focuses upon alleviating fuel poverty and improving the energy efficiency of domestic properties across Shropshire, Telford, Derbyshire and the Black Country.
As a part of their work, they have recently launched an exciting new project entitled ‘Community Climate Connectors,’ which aims to engage with Shropshire-based community groups who are interested in helping householders in their local area to keep warm, save energy and cut carbon.
They are offering free training to community group volunteers that will cover:
- Low- cost measure provision and installation (e.g. LED bulbs, draught excluders etc)
- Thermal imaging survey training and use (subject to availability)
- Home Energy Audits using our HEAT app to identify opportunities to save energy, carbon, and money
- Energy advice and signposting towards grant funding opportunities
- Carbon awareness training to encourage low-carbon living
They are also able to provide marketing, social media, and event support with their in-house team of marketing experts.
If you would like more information on how to get involved, please view our website or contact the Project Manager on 0800 677 1307 (option 5), or email chloeking@mea.org.uk.
