Taking a crafty look at Christmas carols
A Shrewsbury church is running a free art-and-craft afternoon on December 21 to inspire the next generation with a fresh look at familiar Christmas carols.
Shrewsbury Evangelical Church, which meets at Mereside Community Centre in the south east of the town, is running a face-painting session, clay model and decoration-making, and an art exhibition focusing on Christmas carols and stories from the Gospels.
The session starts at 2.30pm on Saturday, 21 December and is being run by and features the work of Lois Adams, a Christian artist living in Cardiff.
Children and parents will be able to participate in craft workshops, face-painting, and enjoy refreshments and mince pies.
The event is free to attend, and runs until 5pm at Mereside Community Hall, SY2 6LH. For further details contact gareth67824@hotmail.com.
