Colleagues Christmas jumper tradition raises money for local food hub
DMOS People is a recruitment business that serves the West Midlands and Mid Wales from its headquarters in Shrewsbury. The team are wearing Christmas jumpers every Friday in December to raise money for the Shrewsbury Food Hub.
They began the tradition in 2022 as a way of getting festive and sharing some goodwill with a charity that reduces food waste and helps people in the local community.
“This has become one of our favourite festive traditions,” said Stuart Danks, Director at DMOS People. “On Fridays, we switch office wear for Christmas jumpers. The DMOS team have all donated to our Christmas jumper fund, which the business has topped up to a £500 donation for the Food Hub.
“I’d like to say a big thank you to my team for all their hard work in 2024. We’ve had some challenges thrown our way, but we’ve overcome them as a team and now we’re stronger than ever. There’s been growth in our temporary recruitment division, our permanent recruitment clients have confirmed growth for next year, 4 new apprenticeships have started here, and our team structure has strengthened. 2025 is looking good!
“We are pleased to announce that DMOS People has donated over £10K to local charities in 2024. Those charities are Shrewsbury Food Hub, The Movement Centre, Climbing Out, Lingen Davies, and The Rural Charity. Plus we have renewed our sponsorship with the West Mid Showground to support local events.”
