Quarry Veterinary Group, which has surgeries in Brassey Road and Bayston Hill, was named Business/Practice of the Year 2024 at VetPartners’ annual awards.

Each year, veterinary group VetPartners presents awards to shining stars, unsung heroes and those who make a real difference in their workplace across its UK veterinary practices and associated animal healthcare businesses. The VetPartners Awards are the highlight of the group’s annual Congress, held this year in Manchester, where the success of colleagues, practices and central support team members is highlighted.

Quarry Vets was selected as Practice of the Year after judges looked at all aspects of the business, from performance to client feedback and team engagement and wellbeing. The veterinary practice impressed the judges for a series of significant achievements throughout 2024, including:

Presenting the award to Quarry Vets clinical directors Neil Williams and Lindsey Jones, chief executive of VetPartners, Jo Malone, said: “Quarry Vets consistently impressive performance is in large part down to the thoughtful, caring way they interact with every patient, client and each other. They truly embody all that VetPartners stands for.”

Neil Williams said: “The whole practice team is very proud to have won this award. Everyone at Quarry Vets cares deeply about what they do and puts animal health and welfare above all else to ensure we provide the very best care for pets and an excellent service to our clients.

“Our team is also committed to caring for the environment as well as pets, and through embracing greener ways of working we have reduced our energy and water consumption and increased the amount of waste that’s recycled. As a result, we have been awarded all three levels of the national iiE environmental awards, including the top Green award, which is an incredible achievement.

“We are also doing all we can to promote responsible usage of antibiotics so we only use these medications when they are needed, which will help reduce antibiotic resistance and protect these medications for future use. It was hugely rewarding that our efforts in this area led to the practice being recognised by the RCVS, which is the regulatory body for veterinary surgeons.”
