'Cheers' as Telford athletes are champions again!
Cheer Athletics Dance Athletics Telford competed at Blackpool's iconic Winter Gardens earlier this month, representing Telford at the British Cheerleading Association's regional championships, returning home as champions once again.

Over 100 athletes competed across the weekend, from ages 5 to 30, over 18 amazing routines. We are absolutely thrilled with our results and are so proud to have represented Telford at this competition!
We achieved an incredible 10 first places, four second places and a third place, also a ‘phenomenal performance’ award which awarded our youth contemporary lyrical dancers for having the most ‘phenomenal performance’ of the weekend across all 600+ competing routines from across the UK.
Not only did our athletes compete across all these divisions, we also saw 11 of our senior dancers perform as part of Team England Pom’s first ever showcase in their National routine which will be representing England at the World Championships in Orlando next year.
All our athletes represented Cheer Athletics and Telford at the very highest standard, showing excellent sportsmanship throughout the weekend, we are very proud.
We now return back to training for the remainder of the year in preparation for our next competition in January.
