Rotary president says a 'massive thank you' for support
A Rotary club’s winter fundraising campaign has attracted support from a bank.
David Morris, president of Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club, said today their Santa visits in his brand-new sleigh to Shrewsbury’s supermarkets was continuing to attract an ‘incredible’ amount of local interest.
He said: “During the course of this winter’s campaign we have been amazingly lucky to have drawn down support from Andy Buchan, Senior Business Development Manager of the Wealth Management & Investments division of Barclays Bank.
“This really valuable extra help should enable us to support even more charities in the year ahead. So a really massive ‘thank you’ to both Santa and Barclays.
“Throughout December Santa has visited Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Tesco and Shrewsbury Severn Rotary Club can’t thank them enough for their hospitality in allowing us to park Santa’s new sleigh near their busy entrances.
“We look forward to supporters making this a record-breaking fundraising Christmas.”
