Bridgnorth RAOB 'Buffs' hold annual charity presentation
Members of the Arthur Oliver Lodge 10703 'Buffs' - The Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes - recently made its annual charity donations to local good causes.
Firstly to the organisers and staff of Bridgnorth Dry Bar, which has just celebrated its 30th year, as an invaluable meeting place and drop in centre for the town's youth scene, located in the High Town.
Bro Tom Jones ROH presented a cheque for £200 to the staff of Bridgnorth Town Football Club, whose supported charity is the Bridgnorth Food Bank. We also recently donated £400 to the Wrekin (Shropshire) PGP's Appeal for The Alzheimer's Society, so all in all in a very successful year, with a great new venue and new members joining us in 2024.
The RAOB "Buffs" are a charitable and benevolent society that has had several Lodges in the fabric of Bridgnorth since 1929. If you are a lapsed member and would like get reacquainted, or keen to find out more, please don't hesitate to get in touch.
The Lodge members really can't thank the hostess and staff of the football club enough for the recent warm welcome we have had into our new comfortable venue, with free car parking and good food and ales provided for us at very reasonable prices.
We meet at Bridgnorth Town FC, Innage Lane WV16 4HS every Tuesday at 8pm.
Please see the local RAOB website link for more information of our Lodges in the Bridgnorth/Telford area: wrekinbuffs.webador.co.uk.
