The homebuilder is offering the voluntary funding pot linked to its Five Oaks development off Gains Park Way in Bicton Heath.

Phoebe Davies, Anwyl Homes’ head of regional marketing explained: “We will soon be welcoming the first homeowners at Five Oaks and to celebrate we’re giving back to the community with the Love from Anwyl initiative with a total of £5,000 available.”

Anwyl wants to support as many projects as possible and so there’s a cap on the grants being offered of £1,500 per applicant.

“We want to know all about the great community projects in Shrewsbury to support as many of them as we can with a financial donation,” Phoebe added.

“If you’re part of a charity or not-for-profit organisation we want to help. In other areas we’ve helped foodbanks support people in need, provided musical instruments for schools, given funding for activities for adults with learning disabilities, enabled Scouts to improve their facilities and much more.”

Love From Anwyl is a voluntary scheme attached to the 106 homes Anwyl is building on around 11 acres of land at Bicton Heath, including 21 affordable properties.

It’s in addition to other community contributions Anwyl has already agreed to, including around £613,000 towards local schools and roads as part of the Community Infrastructure Levy payment, and almost £790,000 towards the delivery of the North West Relief Road, a key strategic piece of infrastructure for Shropshire.
