The housebuilder invited pupils at the nearby Ladygrove Primary School to come up with a vibrant and imaginative flag that best represents its Hayford Grange development and its surrounding areas.

A number of entries were submitted, with 9-year-old Kamsi selected as the winner for her creative design, 9-year-old Grace coming in second and 7-year-old Freya coming in third place.

Following her winning submission, Kamsi was recently invited to Taylor Wimpey’s Hayford Grange development to be presented with her winning voucher by Site Manager Lauren Kelly with the new flag flying high.

Jo Weichlbaeur, Headteacher at Ladygrove Primary School, said: “We’d like to thank Taylor Wimpey for inviting our pupils to take part in the fun flag design competition for their Hayford Grange development.

“The activity provided our pupils with the opportunity to showcase their creativity, and we couldn’t be prouder of all of them for the time and effort they put into their submissions. I’d like to especially congratulate Kamsi, Grace and Freya for winning first, second and third place.”

Kamsi was awarded a £50 Amazon voucher for her winning design, with Grace and Freya taking home a £25 voucher each.

Sarah Pasco, Sales and Marketing Director at Taylor Wimpey North Midlands, said: “We believe in nurturing the creative potential of young people in the areas in which we build. The flag design competition we organised with Ladygrove Primary School reflects these values, and we were delighted to see the talent and creativity on display from all of the pupils who took part.”
