Man, 25, arrested after crash near Wales and Shropshire border

A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after a single vehicle collision near the Wales border.

West Mercia Police has shared a photograph from a single vehicle collision in Llynclys, near Oswestry, after a man was arrested under suspicion of driving under the influence.

Oswestry-based PCSO David Hughes said the force was called to the scene of the crash in the Dolgoch area at around 4.23pm on Tuesday, February 18.

Officers from Oswestry Safer Neighbourhood Team and patrol officers from Shrewsbury attended the scene, where they confirmed there were no casualties.

PCSO Hughes added: "As per force procedure, the 25 year old male driver undertook a roadside breath test. The results of which were positive and he was arrested for suspicion of driving a motor vehicle whilst over the prescribed alcohol limit."
