83 (St Georges) Squadron of the RAF Air Cadets has been given a cheque for £300 by Wrockwardine Wood & Trench Parish Council.

Pilot Officer Lily France, of the squadron based at Territorial House, in Trench, received the tidy sum from Councillor Shirley Reynolds, who chairs the council at Monday’s meeting of the full council.

PO France said the squadron would be spending the money on new laptops which the young people can use for their exams.
